Totally didn’t realize I never published this recipe... real professional...

Anyway, here it is now !

I’m pretty sure anything s’mores is absolutely amazing so I know you will love these baked s’mores donuts.

Side note, as of like two days ago, it’s been a year since I started this little blog of mine & I totally didn’t even celebrate with a cake... how lame.

Tell ya what, I’ll celebrate on my one year of recipe posts? Since that’s mainly what we do on here anyway.

I think I’ve come a long way in the last year, in terms of my photo taking skillzzzz. It’s definitely got room for improvement still but I think it’s gettin’ there ! If you dare, have a look back at one of my old posts here to see where we started LOL

So these actually didn't turn out the way I intended for them to turn out, look wise but my mom was soooo impressed with them LOL it was cute. So I embraced it & left them as they are.

Question. Is s’mores a ‘summer’ thing for you or a ‘fall thing’? I think most people associate it with fall & bonfires but I definitely eat way more s’mores in the summertime.

HOWEVER I think they’re perfectly acceptable all year round ! So make sure to get the recipe down below.

BAKED S'MORES DONUTS

INGREDIENTS

Donut

1.5 cups flour 1/2 cup graham cracker flour 2 tsp baking powder 6 tbsp butter, melted 6 oz. heavy cream 1 tsp vanilla 2 eggs 2/3 brown sugar Meringue 3 egg whites 1/2 cup sugar 1 tsp vanilla

Chocolate 1 cup chocolate chips 1/2 cup heavy cream

DIRECTIONS

  • Start by preheating your oven to 350F & greasing your handy dandy donut pan(s).

  • Crush your graham cracker into a flour-like powder, using a processor or blender.

  • Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl & set aside.

  • With an electric mixer, beat butter & sugar together. Add in egg, cream & vanilla.

  • Fold in dry ingredients & pipe into donut pan & bake for about 15 minutes.

  • Meanwhile, melt chocolate & cream over double boiler until fully combined.

  • Allow to cool until room temperature but not too cold so that it doesn’t spread easily.

  • Combine sugar & egg whites for meringue.

  • Place over double boiler until sugar is fully dissolved.

  • Beat with electric mixer until stiff peaks form.

  • Add in vanilla.

  • Spread chocolate evenly on donuts & use a piping bag to make swirls of meringue on top.

  • Use a kitchen torch or lighter to burn your meringue on top a bit & sprinkle some crushed graham crackers.

  • Enjoy

Literally can't believe summers come to an end. I know it's technically not for like three more weeks but in my head summer ends with pumpkin spiced lattes sooo yeah those are out now. Super excited about everything fall though, gimme all the sweaters & PSLs! Anyway, I gotta go since it's four in the morning & my patients have neuro checks & morning meds now. As always,

Love, B
